About Me

Hi, I’m Jayla, a 23-year-old industrial design student in my junior year at Arizona State University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, I moved across the country to pursue my passion for art, design, and creative problem-solving.

Before studying industrial design, I earned an Associate of Science degree from Harford Community College. My background in science has shaped the way I approach design by encouraging me to be curious, analytical, and intentional about how things work. I’ve always been drawn to creativity, but what excites me most about design is the opportunity to combine creative thinking with real-world problem solving.

I have also developed a strong interest in UX/UI design and enjoy exploring how people interact with digital products and experiences. From researching user needs to creating intuitive interfaces, I love thinking about the small details that can make an experience feel easier, more natural, and more enjoyable. I’m especially interested in the connection between physical and digital design and how they can work together to create more meaningful experiences.

As I continue growing as a designer, I want to create work that is imaginative, human-centered, and purposeful. I’m always looking for new ways to challenge the expected, explore unusual ideas, and design solutions that can make a positive impact.
